Cornelius approved an intergovernmental agreement with Washington County to administer the Recycling Modernization Act contamination reduction program through June 30, 2030, funded by up to $3 per capita annually from Circular Action Alliance. The County will run education, outreach, and feedback programs while Cornelius’ share of funds is split with local haulers.
