San José will amend its agreement with Collection Bureau of America, Ltd., extending the contract through June 30, 2028 and increasing collection fee rates for general delinquent accounts and San José Clean Energy closed accounts. The amendment adds two one-year option terms and adjusts fees up to 16% or $25 per account for most debts and up to 30% for long-delinquent energy charges, all paid by customers.
