UConn Health’s Board is asked to approve an MOU with the Connecticut Department of Children & Families transferring 50 inpatient psychiatric beds from the Solnit Children’s Center license to John Dempsey Hospital and creating a JDH satellite in Middletown. Under the agreement, JDH will add the beds to its license effective April 15, 2026 and assume all patient care responsibilities.
