The Board approved a new lease with American Airlines for limited commercial service at McClellan-Palomar Airport beginning May 21, 2026, authorizing up to eight daily flights and ten seasonal departures. The three-year agreement with two one-year extension options is projected to generate at least $1.1 million annually for the Airport Enterprise Fund and replaces American’s existing lease.
