County approves new Palomar lease with American Airlines

The Board will authorize a new three-year lease with American Airlines, with two optional one-year extensions, to support up to eight daily commercial flights at McClellan-Palomar Airport starting May 7, 2026. The agreement is projected to generate about $1.1 million per year for the Airport Enterprise Fund while expanding regional air service.
