The City of Markham intends to extend its Animal Services Sheltering contract with the Ontario SPCA for three years beginning April 1, 2026 at $263,293 annually, with two additional one-year renewal options to 2031. Funding will come from the Animal Services – Canine Control operating budget and includes CPI-based increases in Years 2–5.
