Planada Elementary Joins Shared Special Day Class MOU

Planada Elementary School District entered a three-district MOU with Weaver Union and Le Grand Union Elementary School Districts to share a TK–1st grade Special Day Class program. Planada receives allocated program spaces and commits to a 25% share of operating costs plus full funding of individualized services and transportation for its resident students.

Initial term is three fiscal years (July 1, 2026–June 30, 2029). The MOU automatically renews in subsequent three-year terms unless a district, including Planada, gives written notice of non-renewal to the other two districts by March 1 of the final year. Planada may terminate with 60 days’ written notice or with at least one fiscal year’s notice when termination is due to staffing reductions or programmatic changes.
