South Portland Engages GPCOG to Administer Loan Fund

The City of South Portland entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Greater Portland Council of Governments for underwriting, closing, and servicing of its Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund. GPCOG will receive a 1%–2% commitment fee on each loan and retain interest and fee revenues while the City maintains loan approval authority and principal and interest. The agreement remains in effect for the life of the loan program, subject to 90 days’ written termination notice.
