The Town plans to apply to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Green Municipal Fund for up to $500,000 in grant support for a 250 kW floating solar project at the Thornbury Wastewater Treatment Plant. A successful application would fund most project costs under the Pilot: Net-Zero Transformation stream.
