The City of Douglas approved the first reading of Ordinance No. 26-1233 to grant a permanent drainage easement over two city parcels to the United States of America for expansion of the Raul Castro Port of Entry, in return for $188,472. Under the agreement, the federal government will construct the new channel while the City will maintain it thereafter.
