The City of Centerville Council approved Resolution 51-25 authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Benefits Cooperative, Inc. to provide pooled medical, dental, life, and vision benefits for City employees. Under the agreement, the City will continue as a member of the OBC, purchase stop-loss insurance and related administrative services through the pool, and accept the revised OBC By-Laws and Code of Regulations governing participation and withdrawal.

Renewal

By-laws require Members in the OBC Medical Pool to participate for a minimum of three years and in the OBC Medical Purchasing Cooperative for a minimum of two years, with authorized withdrawal only at the end of a plan year (8/31) and with advance written notice (six months intent and four months formal). After the initial commitment, membership continues on an annual basis unless withdrawn or expelled per OBC regulations.
