The New Castle Planning and Zoning Commission will consider Resolution PZ 2026-3 recommending approval of a conditional use permit for Public Service Company of Colorado d/b/a Xcel Energy to construct and operate the Coal Ridge electrical substation at 6385 County Road 335. The permit would allow replacement of the aging New Castle Substation with new transmission and distribution infrastructure in the Industrial Zone District.
