Niagara Region plans to transfer $2,000,000 in capital funds from the Capital Variance Project – Levy to Niagara Regional Housing to support the St. Catharines Emergency Shelter project, increasing the total project budget to $7.5 million. The funding will cover modular shelter design and servicing at a new leased site and decommissioning of the existing Riordon Street location.
