Frederick Water is entering negotiations with Burns & McDonnell for GMP 1 of the East Pit Advanced Treatment Initiative. The contract, estimated between $34-44 million for initial construction, is expected to be brought to the Board for approval at a special meeting on May 12, 2026. The entire initiative may total $76–94 million and includes phased delivery of water infrastructure.
