TPO & UCF Launch $2M Arterial Signal Timing Study

The Hillsborough TPO has partnered with the University of Central Florida’s Safe and Smart Transportation Lab on a four-year, over $2 million federally funded SS4A project to improve arterial signal timing and speed management. The study and demonstrations, running from June 2026 through June 2030, will test low-cost safety strategies and evaluate their effectiveness.
