City proposes new telecom franchise for Visionary

Initial 10-year term beginning upon ordinance passage, with possible renegotiation at year 5 and then month-to-month renewals; thereafter annual renewals until terminated

Franchise has an initial 10-year term. At the end of the first five years either party may trigger renegotiation with 180 days’ prior notice; if no agreement is reached, the franchise renews in 12‑month periods until either party gives 30 days’ notice. After 10 years, it continues in 12‑month renewal periods until terminated with 30 days’ notice.
