Austin Water plans to amend its construction manager at risk contract with MWH Constructors for the Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion and modernization, increasing the total authorization from $900 million to $1.5 billion. The project will expand capacity, upgrade treatment to biological nutrient removal, add flood protection, and is scheduled for completion around 2032 while maintaining continuous 75 MGD operations.
