The Township of Puslinch Recreation and Community Wellness Advisory Committee is running a Seniors Drop-In Programming pilot from November 2025 to November 2026 using the Alf Hales Room on Thursdays from 1:00–2:30 p.m. A sub-committee is managing programming, promotion, and attendance tracking, and the pilot currently offers low-cost social and wellness activities such as cards, board games, knitting, book clubs, and puzzles. Due to strong participation in the Drop-In Euchre session, the committee directed staff to prepare a mid-pilot report to Council for the May 27, 2026 meeting to update on success, request an extension of the session length, and seek approval to relocate the program permanently to the larger Archie MacRobbie Hall. The report also notes that adding more formal recreation programming (e.g., Zumba, line dancing) would require additional resources including registration software, insurance, and an RFP process for instructors, and is to be considered in the Recreation and Parks Master Plan review.This creates a forward-looking need for facility scheduling, program design, senior-focused recreation services, marketing support, and potentially technology (registration and attendance systems) if the pilot is extended or expanded. Vendors that provide senior recreation programming, instructors, registration platforms, or community engagement services could position themselves now by helping the Township plan the expanded program footprint and resource requirements ahead of any formal procurement tied to the Master Plan or pilot extension.
