The Redondo Beach Planning Commission approved an Exemption Declaration and Conditional Use Permit on June 18, 2026 for Fit Kids Gymnastics Center to relocate and expand into an 18,168 square foot industrial tenant space at 2605 Manhattan Beach Boulevard in the West Bay Business Park. Fit Kids is an established youth gymnastics and fitness provider that has operated in the complex for about 17 years and is moving from a 9,700 square foot space at 2641 Manhattan Beach Boulevard to accommodate more equipment, expanded programming, and weekend birthday parties.The approval confirms zoning compatibility (Personal Improvement Service in IC‑1), defines operating hours (8:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. daily), caps staff and student counts for parking compliance, and requires interior tenant improvements, acoustical analysis, added rear lighting and security cameras, and signage permits. While no exterior expansion is planned, this is effectively a full re-fit of a large recreational facility and will require design, construction, equipment, and ongoing facility services. Vendors in architecture, interior design, gym/sports equipment, security, IT/point‑of‑sale, youth programming, and maintenance can pursue direct opportunities with Fit Kids and position for follow‑on services as they build out and operate the new center.

Conditions require an acoustical design analysis, added rear lighting and security cameras, and that all activities occur indoors; Fit Kids will be allowed up to 12 employees/56 students daytime and 20 employees/80 students evenings/weekends.
