The Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority is advancing the Phase 2C Regional Interconnect Project to extend its regional transmission system into Charlotte and Sarasota Counties, support future supply delivery to Manatee County, and improve system resiliency. Under Work Order No. 2, approved December 3, 2025, Kimley-Horn is performing a detailed feasibility and routing study to identify and shortlist alignments for extending the existing Phase 2B pipeline into Sarasota County, including pipe sizing, booster pump station options, updated demand/pressure analysis, and easement/right-of-way needs.The work order is valued at 331048, began with a notice to proceed on December 15, 2025, and is scheduled for completion on July 13, 2026, with the project reported on budget and on schedule as of the June 5, 2026 status report. This study sets up a future capital project for actual pipeline construction, pump stations, and related facilities once a preferred alignment is selected, which will likely require additional engineering, environmental, real estate, and construction services. Vendors can position now around follow-on design, permitting, land acquisition support, and eventual construction, as the Authority engages multiple stakeholders including Sarasota County, the City of North Port, and the West Villages Improvement District to refine needs and routes.

This work is part of the Board’s broader Regional Integrated Loop Phase 2 program, with Phase 2B currently under construction and Phase 2C now being evaluated for a construction recommendation.
