The GSA holds an $8.89 million Multibenefit Land Repurposing Program (MLRP) block grant from the California Department of Conservation and plans FY 2026/27 MLRP expenses of about $6.22 million. Current work includes four implementation projects and five development projects focused on recharge, habitat, flood reduction, and sustainable agriculture, with Valley Eco providing project management, outreach, monitoring, and grant management services. While Valley Eco is the program manager, much of the $6.22 million projection will flow to on‑the‑ground implementation, monitoring, and technical tasks over the next several years. This creates demand for engineering, environmental, construction, monitoring, and data services to design and build recharge projects, habitat restoration, and associated infrastructure. Vendors can position to support MLRP partner projects, monitoring networks, and future phases of repurposing as the grant continues through at least March 2027.
