The Collier Heights Gravity Sewer Improvements project proposes to bring gravity sewer collection and service to Collier, Puryear, and South Orange streets in West Augustine, an area with more than 160 homes currently outside the range of existing gravity sewers. Because of distance and topography, the project will require construction of a new city lift station to tie into and expand the wastewater collection system. Funding to date is limited to utility funds for design; design costs and construction costs are still to be determined, and the city is currently building the scope for a design proposal. This early‑stage project offers an opening for engineering firms to help define alternatives, costs, and phasing and for contractors to position for future large‑scale sewer and lift station work once the project is funded.
