The City of Saint Anthony Village has been awarded a $25,000 Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Local Climate Action Implementation Grant and, via Resolution 26-045 on June 23, 2026, is authorizing staff to enter into the grant agreement. The funds will cover installation costs for two Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations at the Village Muni location in Silver Lake Village, using chargers previously donated and accepted by the Council. The grant term runs from June 15, 2026 through June 30, 2027, and requires the City to provide a local cash or in‑kind match and to follow state contracting rules.While the equipment has already been donated, the City will still need installation, electrical work, potential site construction, signage, and ongoing support services to get the chargers operational in this high‑traffic, high‑visibility area near multi‑family housing. Vendors in EV infrastructure, construction, and related services can position themselves for this installation and for future EV infrastructure phases tied to the City’s Climate Plan transportation initiatives.

City must comply with Minnesota Uniform Municipal Contracting Law and prevailing wage where applicable; project aligns with Saint Anthony Village Climate Plan transportation initiatives and public EV adoption goals.
