The City Council approved a new contract with Scope Events LLC to continue organizing the La Quinta Art Celebration through 2029, extending beyond the current agreement that expires December 31, 2026. Scope Events has been producing two four-day events annually since 2021, with the program shifting to a single spring event starting in 2027 after a final Encore event in November 2026. Under the new arrangement the City provides in-kind support, including exemption from facility use fees (about 29000), funding of waste and recycling services (about 5000), and up to 35000 annually in digital, print, and social media advertising, for an estimated City cost of 69000 per year.While the primary event-management work is locked in with Scope Events through 2029, there is ongoing need for marketing, media, and event-related services such as waste, traffic, and safety support that may create subcontracting or complementary opportunities. Vendors can engage with Scope or City staff around sponsorship activations, marketing campaigns, and auxiliary services that enhance the economic impact of the Art Celebration.

Scope Events receives title sponsorship in lieu of facility fees; City funds marketing and certain operations while Scope covers other event services including traffic, police, fire, and business license expenses.
