The Cayucos Sanitary District Board is considering adoption of the FY 2026/27 operating and capital improvement (CIP) budgets, including a revised $390,000 CIP program and a $4.23M–$4.30M operating and reserves plan. The CIP slate includes sewer main repairs, a five‑year capital improvement plan and rate study, Chaney‑to‑Toro main line replacement readiness, a spare pump for Lift Station 2, a WRRF replacement vehicle, and ocean outfall/diffuser inspections, plus evaluation of several potential WRRF upgrades (battery storage, sludge drying, equalization expansion, and additional membranes). This budget sets the financial foundation for multiple studies, engineering, construction, and equipment procurements over the next several years, many of which have not yet gone to RFP. Vendors in engineering, rate consulting, asset management, construction, pumping equipment, energy systems, and sludge handling can position now by helping staff refine scopes and implementation plans as the new CIP and operating budgets are finalized and rolled into procurements.
