The Business, Finance and Facilities Committee reviewed two Ground Lease Agreements between UNR and Doral Academy of Northern Nevada and Sierra Surf Soccer Club for a 40‑acre parcel adjacent to the Main Station Field Laboratory, along with an Affiliation Agreement between UNR and Doral Academy. The Board is asked to approve these agreements and authorize the Chancellor to execute them, including non-material amendments and ancillary documents, after legal review. These ground leases and the K‑12 affiliation arrangement will enable development of school and athletic facilities near UNR, creating multi-organization campus-like activity.Vendors focused on K‑12 and athletic facility design, construction, turf, and programmatic partnerships can approach Doral, Sierra Surf, and UNR to explore how the leased land will be developed and what shared-use infrastructure, fields, or educational spaces will require planning, design, and outfitting.
