The Bluevale Community Committee has written to Morris-Turnberry’s CAO requesting Council review three improvements at Pioneer Park: a catering liquor licence usable at the park and hall, construction of a new pavilion in a more functional location, and installation of a well to support food handling and clean‑up during events. The Committee notes it currently holds 12–15 events annually and spends heavily on tent rentals, and is willing to fundraise and cover costs for storage and contribute to pavilion and well expenses. Council will hear directly from Committee members at the May 5, 2026 meeting, and staff have asked for direction, indicating that scope, funding model, and municipal roles are still open.This creates an early-stage opportunity for park designers, civil engineers, well drilling and water system contractors, and event infrastructure suppliers to help shape feasible pavilion and water solutions, as well as for licensing and compliance advisors to assist with the catering licence structure and storage requirements at the hall and park.

Committee cites other communities (Wroxeter and Belgrave) as examples that have obtained similar catering liquor licences, suggesting alignment with regional practices and potential for shared vendors or designs.
