Park City and Summit County formally adopted a joint Arts & Culture Master Plan in January 2026 and, as part of the FY27 budget process, the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County is requesting ongoing shared operational funding to implement it. The funding request to Park City is 65,000 annually (matched by 65,000 from Summit County) to create a full-time senior "Director of Arts & Culture Planning & Implementation" role, plus some consulting support by Union Creative Agency. While the specific funding decision will be wrapped into the FY27 budget ordinance scheduled for final adoption June 25, 2026, no procurement for the director role or implementation tools is detailed yet. This is a pre-RFP signal for a decade-long portfolio of arts and culture initiatives, including cultural programs, artist support, creative infrastructure projects, grant programs, residencies, Olympic-aligned cultural efforts, and sector coordination. Vendors in cultural planning, public art and placemaking, grant program administration, evaluation, engagement software, and arts-focused consulting can position themselves as partners to the Arts Council and the City to help stand up the new director function, develop implementation roadmaps, secure external funding, and deliver specific projects that will come out of the Master Plan over the next several years.
