On June 10, 2026 the Hillsboro Planning Commission approved Order No. 8499 (Case CU‑004‑25) granting consolidated Conditional Use, Development Review, and a Major Adjustment for an indoor badminton facility on a 1.99‑acre I‑P zoned site south of NE Evergreen Road. The project includes a dedicated recreation building with sidewalks, landscaping, parking, and a stormwater facility, along with detailed conditions around right‑of‑way dedication, frontage improvements, stormwater quality/detention, fire access, utilities, cultural resource plaque, and lighting and waste enclosure design. With land use approval and an extensive set of conditions, the project is moving into detailed design, permitting, and construction. This is commercially relevant for architects, civil and traffic engineers, contractors, and specialty subs (sports flooring, lighting, stormwater, utilities) who can support the owner in meeting the City’s technical conditions, constructing required Evergreen Road frontage work in coordination with Washington County, and delivering the building and site improvements.
