On April 8, 2026 the Umpqua Community College Board adopted a revised 2023–2030 Facilities Workplan after several early projects were completed. President Pokrandt’s presentation outlined seven proposed capital projects prioritized around learning spaces, student gathering and community spaces, athletic facilities, and workspaces. The proposed projects include a Student Center refresh and remodel, Athletics Complex update and renovation, decommissioning Wayne Crooch Hall, expanding Lockwood Hall into a trades and apprenticeship hub, continued student housing renovations, expanded fire science and public safety instructional infrastructure, and updated campus wayfinding and signage.Each project was described with goals, projected timelines, estimated costs, and potential funding sources, but no individual procurements or vendors have been selected yet. This creates a multi‑year pipeline of construction, design, FF&E, security, technology, and signage work for partners that can help UCC scope, phase, and finance these efforts. A productive next conversation is with facilities and operations leadership about where external expertise is most needed for planning, design, and owner’s‑rep services as they move from plan approval into concrete projects.

Workplan is contingent on securing funding per project; capital plan was adopted unanimously, giving administration authority to advance projects as funds allow.
