Educational partners emphasized arts, music, PE, and STEM as core to CMP’s whole-child Montessori model, and CMP-Elk Grove responded by restoring in-school VAPA instruction through a dedicated Art Instructional Assistant and maintaining PE teacher access for all students. The LCAP also sets new metrics to track VAPA and enrichment participation by subgroup (EL, low-income, SWD) and to ensure 100% of students receive weekly in-school art and PE within the school day. This creates demand for structured VAPA and PE curricula, staff training, and data systems to track participation and equity across programs like art classes, Jazzerettes dance, and after-school sports.Vendors offering K–8 art/music curriculum, PE and fitness programs, enrichment management software, and professional development for enrichment staff can help CMP deepen offerings and meet new accountability requirements.

Action 1.3 is identified as contributing for high-needs students, meaning some of this enrichment is funded and justified as an equity strategy, increasing the importance of clear metrics and reporting.
