COMPASS staff has prepared a draft FY2027-2033 Regional Transportation Improvement Program project list for Board review ahead of a July 1–31, 2026 public comment period and August 17, 2026 adoption. The draft, available in basic, detailed, and major-changes formats, includes new and revised projects across Surface Transportation Block Grant, Carbon Reduction Program, Transportation Alternatives, and FTA programs in the Boise and Nampa urban areas, and will be adjusted in coordination with Idaho Transportation Department’s statewide program and recent legislative cuts to the Strategic Initiatives Program. While the document does not list projects in this packet, the schedule and process clearly signal that multiple new projects—especially those on the “major changes” list—are entering the funded pipeline for design and construction in FY2027–2033, subject to final approval by COMPASS, ITD, and FHWA/FTA by December 31, 2026. Vendors targeting roadway, transit, and multimodal work in Ada and Canyon Counties should obtain the detailed project list, identify new or advanced projects of interest, and engage sponsoring agencies now to understand scope, schedule, and anticipated procurement methods before solicitations are released following TIP approval.
