Cascadia presented a Mission Fulfillment segment on the STEM Transfer Partnership (STP) with the University of Washington Bothell, a grant-funded initiative aimed at reducing barriers to transfer for low-income and underrepresented STEM students. The project has developed multiple transfer pathways (including physics, chemistry, biology, and revised electrical engineering, with mechanical engineering in circulation), supported classroom visits, surveyed student belonging, and broadened the Engineering Club into a more inclusive STEM club, with ongoing collaboration between Cascadia and UWB faculty and staff. This work is supported by grant resources and includes data tracking, student employment, and co-curricular activities, which typically require assessment tools, advising supports, and student engagement platforms.Vendors in transfer and degree-planning software, student success analytics, STEM lab and maker-space equipment, and program evaluation services can engage by helping the college scale the partnership, deepen data use, and build structured programming that aligns with the evolving transfer articulations.

The initiative directly ties into Cascadia’s mission metrics and Guided Pathways work, so sustainability beyond the current grant cycle will be a concern.
