Bluffdale City Council has scheduled a June 24, 2026 public hearing on a request to amend the General Plan and zoning for about 1.9 acres at 13942 South 2700 West from very low density residential to commercial, and on a related development agreement to build four microflex buildings across approximately 3.914 acres. The proposed agreement would also relax glazing and brick façade requirements and explicitly allow uses such as construction sales and service, data centers, loan centers, manufacturing, printing services, machinery/equipment storage, job trailers/offices, and wholesale/warehousing. These items indicate an early-stage commercial/industrial project where the site plan, permitted uses, and development terms are still being shaped and must be approved by the Council. For vendors, this is a pre-RFP signal that multiple flex/light industrial buildings and associated infrastructure will likely move forward, creating future demand for design, construction, IT/data center buildout, security systems, and facility services once entitlements are granted. Early outreach can focus on helping the developer and city plan compliant, cost-effective building systems and tenant improvements compatible with the broad range of intended uses.
