At the June 8, 2026 regular meeting, the board is scheduled to declare multiple instructional and technology items as surplus, including older Big Ideas math editions, Holt Algebra I materials, numerous math practice and test prep books, MS Office XP and Adobe Photoshop CS2 books, kindergarten science and HMH myBooks, an iPad, Surface Pro, Fortinet firewall, Chromebook, and other devices. Surplusing this volume of math and technology resources signals that newer curriculum and devices have already been purchased or are in the process of being adopted. While the surplus action itself is administrative, the underlying refresh of math curriculum, kindergarten materials, and end-of-life devices reflects recent or ongoing spending with other vendors.This is commercially relevant as districts often follow initial adoptions with supplemental materials, digital content, intervention solutions, professional learning, and device lifecycle support. Vendors in curriculum publishing, edtech, device management, and network/security hardware can approach the district to support the new ecosystem replacing these retired assets.
