At its June 16, 2026 meeting, the Amador Fire Protection District board approved a package of contracts and change orders to advance construction of the new Pine Grove Fire Station 114. Items include a $1,636,795.20 interior building improvements construction contract with John Allen Construction, Inc., a $77,963 contract with I Love My Solar for a 20.25 kW grid-tied solar PV system, a $127,185.31 contract with Air Exchange, Inc. for a Plymovent vehicle exhaust system, and a $10,124.40 estimate with Columbia Communications for base radio, accessories and installation, along with Campbell Construction change order #1 for $51,695 in extra site work. The board authorized the chair or vice chair to sign and pay these contracts and invoices as presented or revised.These awards show that station 114 is moving from site work into interior construction and technical system fit-out, locking in prime contractors but leaving room for subs and follow‑on work. Vendors in fire station construction, specialty building systems, communications, controls, furnishings and technology can position for subcontracting under John Allen Construction, for future maintenance and upgrades of the solar, exhaust and radio systems, and for remaining scopes such as alerting, networks, furniture, fitness, specialty storage, and training props as the project progresses toward the expected April 2027 completion noted in the budget narrative.

WGA, Inc. acts as project manager; PG&E design for utility service is underway; significant site utilities and grading already completed. Change order #1 reflects rocky site conditions, utility relocations and added conduits.
