Planning staff recommend approval, noting that nMP is not regulated under NDEP’s CAPP program, the Fire Marshal has no objections, and the addition will let AUECC process, store, and package additional solvent volumes at its existing facility under stringent safety and emergency-response conditions. The amendment itself does not authorize new buildings but supports an expanded operational scope, with storage up to approximately 120,000 lbs of nMP and continued requirements for hazardous materials permitting, containment, monitoring, emergency planning, and security.
