Amity’s FY 2026–27 budget continues its focus on sewer inflow and infiltration (I&I) reduction, allocating another $60,000 for I&I maintenance following an $80,000 allocation in the current year. The City has recently faced DEQ violations and fines for treatment non-compliance, has secured a permit modification reducing ammonia limits, and is updating its Wastewater Facility Planning Study, partially funded by a CWSRF planning loan that includes $100,000 in principal forgiveness. The City plans to use I&I funds for video scoping, jetting, development of an I&I plan, and pipeline repairs such as lining and rehabilitation. Environmental and civil engineering firms, trenchless contractors, and CCTV/jetting service providers can engage around this program, offering to structure an I&I plan, prioritize basins, and deliver cost-effective sewer rehab to maximize limited capital while improving compliance and reducing flows to the WWTP.
