Financial assurance must be submitted within 60 days of DEQ’s approval and is to be reviewed yearly and adjusted as necessary; remedy implementation spans multiple phases including excavation (2024–2028), landfill construction (2029–2031), closure and reclamation (2030–2031), and long-term monitoring and institutional controls through at least 2053. Any changes to the remedy would occur through AOC dispute resolution or amendment processes.
