County extends behavioral health contract with Lynden Schools

Whatcom County is amending its interlocal agreement with Lynden School District to extend behavioral health services for one additional year from September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027. The amendment provides up to $122,100 from the Behavioral Health Program Fund to support a Mental Health Coordinator and related school-based services for at least 150 students. Scope changes include added support for county-funded programs and increased promotion of behavioral health initiatives to students and families.
