Independent School District #271 entered an amended three-year memorandum of understanding with Luther College Education Department effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, to host student teachers and other field experience placements. Luther College will supervise its students and pay cooperating teachers stipends ranging from $75 to $200 per placement, with options for payment routing to either the teacher or the district.
