The Hunters Crossing Local Government Corporation Board is considering a Master Transfer and Settlement Agreement under which the Hunters Crossing Homeowners Association will assume ownership and maintenance of key recreational amenities on Lot 16 and accept new fence and trail maintenance obligations. In return, the City of Bastrop will take over drainage and other property maintenance functions, and existing HOA maintenance easements on multiple tracts will be released, reducing City mowing costs by $111,144 annually.

Renewal

Agreement includes reversionary clause: if HOA fails to maintain Lot 16 or required insurance, or becomes insolvent or dissolved and does not cure within six months after notice, title to Lot 16 reverts to the City of Bastrop. Maintenance and insurance obligations on Lot 16 run with the land unless released by the City. Fence and trail maintenance easements are perpetual and run with the land.
