The Town is preparing an MOU or contract with Moore County Airport for aircraft rescue and firefighting services when commercial flights return around mid‑2027. Under the planned agreement, the airport will reimburse the Town for off‑duty firefighter staffing and required ARFF training costs at a $65/hour extra duty rate.
