Sound Transit’s Board authorized the chief executive officer to enter into contracts with the Washington State Department of Revenue to collect, transfer, and administer an additional 1.372 percent sales and use tax on retail car rentals effective January 1, 2027. The agreement will support implementation of Resolution No. R2026-12 and ongoing tax administration within the Sound Transit district.
