Abingdon executed a DCR-RTP grant contract in August 2024 totaling $295,788.18, with $236,630.54 in state grant funds and $59,157.64 in Town match, to support Virginia Creeper Trail Trestle #1 repairs. The project has since been folded into a larger FEMA repair effort.
