Local Government Joins TASB Benefits Cooperative for Benefits Access

The local government enters into an Interlocal Participation Agreement with the TASB Benefits Cooperative to access employee and related benefit programs through cooperative purchasing and administration. The agreement is ongoing with automatic one-year renewals and creates no payment obligation until separate benefit contracts are executed. Either party may terminate with 30 days’ notice, and amendments apply prospectively.

Renewal

Agreement automatically renews for successive one-year terms unless either party terminates with 30 days’ written notice. The Cooperative may amend the Agreement with 60 days’ prior written notice, and the Member may terminate before an amendment’s effective date. Existing contracts for benefits with service providers are not impaired by amendments or termination.
