Red Deer County is considering Bylaw 1026/2026 to guarantee up to $5 million of Rural Connect’s evergreen line of credit at prime plus 0.15% for fiber optic infrastructure projects and refinancing of an existing facility. The guarantee would back Rural Connect’s obligations without the County itself taking on new direct debt.
