County Increases Share in Rail Trail Acquisition

Durham County moved to amend its TIP Agreement with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, increasing total County participation to $1,658,390 for acquisition of the Durham-to-Roxboro Rail Trail corridor. With expected state grants, the County’s net expenditure will be up to $1,013,077 to help convert the inactive rail line into a multi-use trail.
