The Lakewood City Council approved a $226,495 purchase and installation of Technisonic TDFM-9000 communication radios and related equipment for the Sky Knight helicopter program from Hangar One Avionics of Carlsbad. Funding will be partially offset by $169,000 in State Citizens’ Option for Public Safety (COPS) grant monies, with the City Manager authorized to execute all required documents.
