Jekyll Island Secures 911 Dispatch Services Through 2031

The Jekyll Island-State Park Authority executed a five-year agreement with Glynn County to obtain continued Fire/EMS dispatch and 911 call-taking via the Joint Public Safety Communications Department’s E-911 Center from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2031. Jekyll Island will cover its radio equipment costs and pay quarterly operating fees tied to its radio count on the 800 MHz system.
